JCYC Counselor Workshop

The Community Outreach team led a workshop with high-school summer camp counselors from JCYC to get input on their perception of Osaka Way in its current state, and what could be improved in the upcoming iteration.

Camp counselors were invited to rotate around the room and participate in various themed stations: Planting/Greenery, Lighting/Seating, Interactive Features, and Cultural Elements. In addition to a desire for more greenery and better evening lighting, these high school students also expressed a desire for better signage and wayfinding that would help identify the space within its greater context.
